At first glance, one might think the specs listed for this Gi are some sort of typo or glitch. But I assure you, this is real... The Tank is incredibly tough. If you've got training partners with monster grips, I promise you they will have a hard time grabbing the Tank. If you've got actual monsters as training partners, that's a different story. But for those of us rolling with humans, the Tank is the obvious choice for a unique combination of extreme durability and modern comfort/fit.

The Tank is built from two main fabrics, both of which are incredibly strong: 950 GSM Double weave and 14 oz. canvas cotton. Grabbing the jacket from the outside is no walk in the park, that's for sure, but nobody wants a rough interior... Lucky for us, Tatami solved that problem by using a nice brushed surface, so your Gi will feel nice against your skin, yet still a pain for your opponent. The jacket is also equipped with canvas reinforcements starting around the lapels and from there up lining the majority of the interior. Pants are equally as reinforced, ensuring your Gi will not fail at the seams or any of the high-stress areas.

The best thing about the Tank is that you get the style and feel of an old school kimono without losing the advancements of modern kimonos. Namely, the quality of materials and embroideries, as well as the improved drawstring/loops, and of course the fit (Tatami uses their Estilo cut).T
